At the start of the festivities, at 7:00 PM, the President will speak via video conference at more than 1,000 Obama for America Birthday House Parties for supporters that are being held across the US, and deliver two more sets of remarks during the evening. No other details of the party, first reported Chicago Sun-Times' Lynn Sweet, have been released.
"Wednesday also happens to be the day before the President's 50th birthday -- and our work to build this campaign through this kind of solid grassroots organizing is the sort of gift he'll appreciate most," Jeremy Bird, National Field Director for OFA, said in an email inviting supporters to attend the Birthday House Parties.
