Photographers battle it out in the East Room to get a shot of the President's plate at the Head Table during the press preview for the State Dinner.The menu and decor preview included no examples of the dishes that would be served, and no explanation from any of the chefs. Before the Obama era, press previews for important dinners and events always included the First Lady explaining the menu, joined by her Executive Chefs.
