In Concord, New Hampshire on Sunday, July 24th, First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden will host a cookout for military families. They'll welcome National Guard and Reserve and Active Duty members and families from across the state. The afternoon event, part of the Joining Forces campaign to support and honor military families, will begin at 3:45 PM.Earlier in the day on Sunday in Portsmouth, NH, Dr. Biden will meet with New Hampshire National Guard family support providers. She'll attend "Operation: Thank You!," a military family appreciation event at the Red Hook Ale Brewery, at the Pease International Tradeport.
Mrs. Obama last hosted a Joining Forces cookout in May, at the London home of British Prime Minister David Cameron. Joined by President Obama and Mrs. Samantha Cameron, Mrs. Obama welcomed US and British military and their families. Members of the US Armed Forces and their families were also the guests at the annual White House Independence Day BBQ.
