Get your Obama newspaper hats!... Locals--and local media--in Darwin, Australia were thrilled by
President Obama's Nov. 17th visit, the first-ever by a sitting US president to the Northern Territory.

The
NT News created
Obama newspaper hats, and included these in its print edition so locals could dress properly when raising a pint to the President. Still, the stop, at the end of a
28-hour whirlwind visit that included a
Parliamentary Dinner and an
address to Parliament, was somber. Joined by
Prime Minister Julia Gillard, the President laid a wreath at the USS Peary Memorial in Bicentennial Park to honor the eighty US troops killed when the Japanese sank the Navy destroyer during a massive attack on Feb. 19, 1942.
